Perfect brows: everything you need to know about microbladingHow much time do you waste every single morning filling in your brows? How amazing would it be if you could just wake up each morning with them perfectly arched and groomed? Well, now you will be pleased to know that you can. Microblading is a semi-permanent alternative to eyebrow tattooing which has rocketed in popularity after celebrities like Bella Thorne expressed how much she loves Microblading on Snapchat, and now it is being offered in salons up and down the country including Beauty by Ruth Liverpool Beauty Salons.
What’s the difference between microblading and traditional eyebrow tattooing?
Traditional tattooing methods are normally carried out using an inking machine which generally results in a more ‘blocky’ effect, similar to what can be achieved by using brow powders. Microblading Liverpool from Ruth at Beauty by Ruth is carried out using a specialist manual hand tool to create individual hair-like eyebrow strokes. Carrying out the Microblading treatment by hand means that Ruth can achieve a much more natural eyebrow look.
Who is the perfect candidate for the microblading treatment?
Here at Beauty by Ruth we have dealt with so many different people; from the stressed bride-to-be to a cancer patient who has not only lost all her hair but her eyelashes and eyebrows too. We believe that anyone regardless of their current eyebrows condition is treatable. No matter how big the challenge may be where there is a will, there will always be eyebrows!
How long does microblading usually take and what does the Microblading process involve?
The entire process takes around an hour and thirty minutes. Ruth starts by having a clear conversation with her client about what their ‘Perfect Brows’ would entail. She then begins to draw on the brows with a pencil so that the client can visualise the brow shape before any microblading process takes place. Once the customer is completely happy with the proposed eyebrows, Ruth numbs the area to be treated and begins the procedure.
Does it hurt? Do you advise taking painkillers beforehand?
Painkillers are not necessary as we use a special numbing cream throughout the microblading Liverpool treatment. We realise that everyone experiences pain differently but generally speaking it feels as though you have caught your skin with a set of tweezers.
What aftercare is required?
The first ten days of the healing process are vital to the entire microblading treatment, in this time we advise clients to stay away from makeup and keep their treated area water free! Vaseline or Coconut oil should be applied at least twice a day to keep the area moisturised and reduce scabbing.
Is there an ideal time of year to undergo the treatment?
To be honest any time of the year is a great time to upgrade your makeup Liverpool treatments with a microblading treatment 😉
How long will the results last and how much maintenance does it require?
The microblading results vary from person to person, but most Beauty by Ruth clients will see us within 24 months from their initial microblading treatment for a colour refresh.
What can you do to ensure your brows last as long as possible?
Wearing a facial moisturiser every day with a high SPF (at least 30) will help protect your eyebrows from direct sun exposure, this will help to reduce the fading process.
