What Do I Do After Microblading

You won’t leave your first appointment with picture-perfect brows. The skin will be quite red for a while, and the dye will be very intense at first. It’s absolutely normal to see some flaking, peeling and scabbing of the skin. Read our article on what to do after microblading…

What do I do after microblading?

Do not touch or pick at your brows during the healing process. If your brows feel tight or itchy, just tap at them to relieve the sensation. You can use Vaseline if necessary to soothe, but clients with oily skin may not need it. Microblading usually looks its best after 10 to 14 days when the peeling has subsided and the dye has settled.

How can I keep my micro bladed brows from changing colour?

The colour of your brows will be blended with your skin tone and hair colour but the colour can shift slightly. To prevent this, keep your brows dry. Do not get them wet while they are healing. If they do get wet, do not rub them, just pat the area dry with a towel. Also avoid sun exposure and heat treatments such as sauna, steam and sunbeds as they heal. Don’t use skin care products on the brows while they heal, and don’t have facial treatments such as laser and chemical peels.

How long does microblading last?

Microblading is an alternative to having your brows permanently tattooed. While it does last a long time, it is not permanent. The treatment will last as long as 18 months but it can vary slightly. As the skin heals, it pushes the pigment out of the skin, so you do need regular top-ups.
