Gel nails come in a hard or soft form. Hard cannot be soaked off, whereas soft gel nails can. The gel is cured in a lamp with LED light. They are used for natural nail overlays in French manicure, colour or clear. They are different from acrylic nails in that no mixing of a liquid and powder is needed. Gel nails are a one-step system that soaks off and lasts as long as six weeks.
What are gel nails?
Gel nails Liverpool are extremely hard wearing; the gel’s strength is in its flexibility. It acts as a shock absorber on your natural nail, reducing the risk of chipping or cracking. It moves with your natural nails and reduces the possibility of breaking. Optionally, a layer of clear gel can be applied to the natural nail prior to application to give even more protection and stability.
Soak Off Process
Once gel has been correctly and safely soaked off, the natural nail remains clean and damage-free. The removal process involves us using cotton wool soaked in a special Soak Off solution, on the gel and wrapping Foil around the fingertip. This lifts the gel from the nail. A full soak-off takes minutes and there is no need to soak your fingers in a bowl of acetone. No electric tools or files required!
Protect Your Nails
The condition of the underlying natural nail is often improved as the damage can grow out and fresh, strong nail grows underneath the protective gel.
