Our Guide To Removing Acrylic Nails At Home During Lockdown

Removing acrylic nails Liverpool at home involves a few steps, but it is not impossible. Your natural nails will not come out perfect – they have to be filed down to apply the acrylic nails – but at least all of your fingers will match if you broke an acrylic nail, and you will save some time when you next have your nails done.

Make sure you have all the required equipment you will need before you start. What you will need:

  • Two bowls – one large, one small
  • Warm water
  • Acetone nail varnish remover
  • An orange nail stick
  • Nail oil
  • A three-way nail buffer

Step 1

Get your two bowls, one large one with warm (not hot) water, and one small empty one. Buff off the acrylic, but not all the way down to the nail. Then, pour acetone into the small bowl – enough to cover the nails.

Step 2

Place your fingers into the acetone, cover ing your whole hand. Then put the smaller bowl (with your hand still inside) into the larger bowl. Now cover both bowls with a towel and wait 20 minutes.

Once the time is up, take your fingers out. The acrylic can be easily removed with gentle scraping using a nail stick. If it doesn’t all come off, soak your fingers for another five minutes.

Step 3

Once the acrylic is all gone, apply nail oil. Massage and gently buff your nails Liverpool with a three-way buffer. This will remove the ridges and add some shine.
