Microblading vs Microshading

Microblading vs Microshading

There are other options to fill in and get perfect brows aside from microblading. One of these is microshading. Read our Microblading vs Microshading guide to find out more…

Microblading vs Microshading

Microshading is even better than regular microblading for those people who want to achieve thicker-looking and fully filled in brows. It gives a more “done” look than the hair-like strokes of microshading. If you want the hair strokes to look natural, then choose microblading rather than microshading.

  • The process for a microshading eyebrow embroidery Liverpool treatment is much the same as microblading. Both of the semi-permanent makeup treatments use a special tool to implant pigment under the top layer of the eyebrow skin. The differences between the two are:
  • Microblading uses a series of featherweight strokes, while microshading is made up of dots – a bit like a picture in a newspaper.
  • The result of microshading is that you get a powdered effect. It has much the same look as when you apply eyebrow powder to your brows.
  • The result of a microblading treatment is a series of natural hair strokes that closely resemble real hairs.

Microshading is a semi-permanent treatment just like microblading. On average, it will last you for up to a year. It can even last a little longer, it all depends on your specific skin type. You also need a touch-up session a month or so after the first session.

Don’t forget, we can combine two different eyebrow treatments to help you to get exactly the look you want. For instance, if you have thin eyebrow hair, you can choose to have both microblading and microshading. This will add hair strokes to the sparse areas and some shading will help to make the overall brows look fuller.
