Michelle Keegan Samples Microblading in LA
We read recently about celebrity Michelle Keegan taking a trip over to Los Angeles and having an eyebrow treatment. Michelle jetted over to LA to shoot photos for her Spring/Summer 2017 fashion collection for Lipsy. She had a four-day shoot with photographer Zoey Grossman who has worked for magazines including Harper’s Bazaar and Nylon. To look her best, she tried microblading to improve the look of her eyebrows, which she has struggled to grow.
What is Microblading?
Microblading is a new form of semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing. With a state of the art micro blading tool, a beauty technician makes precision hair strokes by hand, which mimic the natural direction and lengths of your hair. Coloured pigment is added in the top layer of the skin. Michelle described the sensation as being similar to a scratch, quite unlike a full tattoo which can hurt!
The microblading treatment takes about an hour and leaves you with highly defined, realistic looking eyebrows. Beauty by Ruth now offers a microshading eyebrow embroidery Liverpool treatment which combines the best parts of powder fill with the Ombre effect and microblading.
A powder fill is where we apply of thousands of dots of tattoo pigment to an area. They gradually build up colour and give a defined yet soft look to the eyebrows. The colour lasts a lot longer than microblading alone, as it goes deeper into the skin. Powder fill alone gives a bolder look than microblading and looks great when combined with it.
The ombre eyebrows Liverpool effect gradually blends the powder fill colour into the eyebrow. It gives the eyebrows a bolder look, as the shade is lighter at the top darker at the bottom. This transition defines the eyebrows and adds a realistic depth.

Finally, microblading is used to finish off the effect. This mixes the bold effect of powder fill, the shade of Ombre brows and the natural look of microblading.
